Visitng the San Antonio Zoo
Established in 1914, the San Antonio Zoo is recognized nationwide for its acclaimed breeding programs, innovative "cage-less" design. The Zoo's 56-acre expanse is home to over 9,000 animals, including white rhinos, hippos, jaguars, bears and snow leopards, and has received awards for its successful reproduction of whooping cranes. Kids love the children's zoo, Kronkosky's Tiny Tot Nature Sport, and families can explore AFRICA LIVE!, with safari-like exhibits. San Antonio Zoo also features the Zoo Train, Butterflies!
